Hey - we're Poki. We are on a mission to build the ultimate online playground for kids of all ages. Every day, 2 million users and 200 game developers come together on our web platform to play & create games. We are the global leader in web games. In the upcoming years, we want to establish our brand as the ultimate online playground and welcome players from all over the world. To realise this ambition we are looking for an experienced User Growth Lead.

We are looking for a team lead with a holistic view on cross-platform performance marketing and a feeling for technical innovation. Someone who knows what it takes to build a global brand in a sustainable way, and understands the growth dynamics of a multi-sided platform like ours. Sounds like you? Then read on!
#1 challenge: performance operations - Managing and optimising our multi-million euro user acquisition budgets. Together with your team we would like you to further develop and roll out our cross-platform user growth operation. You will do so by focussing on both existing and new channels, on all devices. You will be setting up scalable performance based campaigns by leveraging our data warehouse.
#2 challenge - building our brand - Growing a playful brand. In the upcoming years, we want to make users from all over the world familiar with Poki. You will do so by being actively involved in defining how to spread the message, taking our brand values as a starting point. You will be taking a holistic view on our user growth activities, using formats such as video, display, search, notifications & play.
#3 challenge: platform growth - Unlocking platform growth by connecting our user growth operations to our product roadmap. We would like you to grow our platform working closely together with our thriving game developer community. You will do so by growing their user bases via the Poki brand and their own web game IPs. You will be strengthening their success, e.g. by rewarding their latest cross device innovations, game updates or platform integrations
#4 challenge: team - Setting up your current team for success: working closely together with our experienced user acquisition analyst and user tech specialist. Moreover, we would like you to grow our user growth team (6+ FTE) to accelerate the growth of our global platform. You will be building a smart and diverse team, including at least an extra analyst, a campaign manager and a creative person.
#5 challenge: alignment - Aligning with our playground product team. On a weekly basis you will be touching base with our playground’s product manager who is responsible for the product development on the user side of our platform. On a monthly basis you will be aligning with the team leads of our developer ops and revenue ops teams, as well as our product manager on the developer side of our platform.
#6 challenge: experts - Building a sustainable growth strategy. On a quarterly basis you will be spending quality time with our user strategist and co-founder to shape our long-term user growth strategy. We would like you to stay on top of relevant trends in the fast changing web user landscape. You can do so by checking in with strategic partners such as Google on a quarterly basis, and connecting with thought leaders in the industry by attending conferences.
Have 5 years work experience in a user acquisition or growth role, with 3 years of leadership/management experience
Have experience with building a global, cross device brand
Have experience with managing and overseeing multi-million euro user acquisition budgets
Have experience in a competitive user-first (b2c) online market
Are already based in The Netherlands, preferably around Amsterdam
Experience with platforms like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.
Experience with SEO & innovative web technologies (PWAs, HTML5, etc.)
