Technical Project Manager

Do you want to create the ultimate online playground?

We're Poki, and we're on a mission to build the ultimate online playground for kids of all ages. Every month, 30 million users come to us for easy access to the best free games.

We’re building a platform for play, and in order to accomplish this mission we need a diverse bunch of people working together in different disciplines as a Product Team. Now we’re looking for someone dedicated to coordinate allocation, planning and communication within and between our designers, analysts and engineers. That’s where you come in: our Technical Project Manager.

Do you recognize yourself in the following?

  • I’m self-motivated and highly responsible – I thrive on freedom
  • I enjoy working in a dynamic and agile environment
  • I'm always open to new ideas, perspectives and solutions
  • I’m eager to learn and love to share
  • I'd love to work with a smart, informal and diverse bunch of people

Then we might be looking for you!

We need you! Here's why:

Poki is at a tipping point. We have a strong vision on web games and are working on a new product that will support our exponential growth. We’re making the web a better place for games. As our Technical Project Manager you can make the final push and set things in motion. Your focus will be on the execution: you can have a huge impact on the creation of our ultimate online playground. 🎮

Your challenge and who you’ll be working with:

  • You’ll be the connection between Bas (Co-founder & Head of Product) and the product team doing the actual work
  • You’ll make as many decisions as possible on a day-to-day basis, write stories and work together with the Head of Product on doing a final pass on that before we start building it. That means you’ll also be responsible for the timely execution and delivery of those stories by the team
  • Among others, you’ll be working directly with Remco (Scrum Master & QA), Casper (Infrastructure), Julien (Front-end Developer), Matteo (Back-end Developer), Flin (Design) and Robert (Analytics)
  • You’ll be fully responsible for writing requirements, updating Asana and making sure that what is planned gets delivered on time for internal stakeholders (like Jascha who is working on advertising) and external stakeholders (like Color Switch from LA)
  • We’d like you to search for ways to keep the rest of the company engaged with our product development, such as via our bi-weekly product demo’s

The ultimate online playground

We believe that the web deserves a platform for play that's here to stay. This is what our platform will be about:

  • An unparalleled playing experience: easy access to the best and latest free games. No installs, never a dull moment

  • Happy developers: our tools and SDKs enable the creative power of hundreds of independent game developers and give them access to our platform and the open web

  • Sustainable advertising: the web is asking for advertising that's more fun and less annoying

Telling you how to do things is not really our style, we rather tell you what we want to accomplish with you on our side:

  • Our product team is happy, knowing at all times what they should be working on, while feeling protected from business pressure yet connected with the company

  • Stakeholders are happy and they know that you are their go-to person if they have a question or problem that needs solving

  • Founders are happy because the team is on track and delivering value, thanks to someone on the ground consistently translating tactics to operations

  • You are happy because projects get delivered on time and according to high quality standards, making everybody in the company proud of what we achieve as a team

We offer:

  • The opportunity to have a strategic impact on a product that is loved by millions of users
  • A diverse, talented and self-motivated team

  • Work in a fun, friendly and informal environment
  • A chance to build your career with our fast-growing company
  • A competitive salary

  • State of the art equipment

  • A flat organization with lots of personal responsibility and freedom

Sounds good? Then press below to start! 🎮

We don’t feel like we should create a list of requirements that you can check in order to know if you are the right person or not. We rather have you tell us why you think your experience fits this role, how you are as a project manager and why you want to work at Poki.
